About
Dr. Whitney Brammer received both her undergraduate and doctoral degrees from UCLA and completed her doctoral internship at Providence Saint John's Child and Family Development Center. She received specialization in working with adolescents and young adults within her postdoctoral psychology fellowship at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) in the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine (DAYAM). Dr. Brammer currently holds an appointment at CHLA within DAYAM, where she continues to deliver evidence-based treatment to marginalized teens and young adults, conduct research, and provide teaching/training. In addition to her clinical work, research, and teaching roles at CHLA, Dr. Brammer provides therapy through private practice to support individuals and families progress toward wellness. Dr. Brammer’s research program has focused on identifying genetic and environmental predictors of externalizing behaviors and substance use, with a focus on identifying the impact of traumatic stress on dysregulation.
