Karina Oceguera, LCSW, is a clinical social work supervisor for the Olive View-UCLA Medical Center (OVMC), overseeing the pediatrics service and the Maternity Assessment, Management, Access, and Service (MAMA's) Neighborhood perinatal program. Karina joined OVMC in April 2017 as a pediatric social worker. She has a master's in social work from Columbia University and has a broad range of experience working with children in residential treatment facilities, schoolÂbased settings, and outpatient mental health clinics. Karina works diligently in bridging the gap by identifying social determinants of health that impact patients and families in accessing medical care.
