About

Jean Lundquist earned her BA in International Studies at the University of California: San Diego, emphasizing working in public health at the U.S.-Mexico border through Health Frontiers in Tijuana (HFIT), and Smiles International in Tecate. She has lobbied for legislative changes with the National Association of Social Workers, and with California Youth Connection alongside foster youth. Jean obtained her Master’s in Social Work from San Diego State University in 2016, with a focus in Community Development and Administration. She has worked extensively alongside those with severe and persistent mental illness in short term crisis houses, and long term residential services, in both clinical and managerial roles. Jean specializes in crisis interventions, with a solution-focused and strength-based approach to client care. She is particularly passionate about developing other mental health professionals’ capacity to work with those experiencing active psychosis and mania from an intentionally person-centered and anti-stigma approach, with consideration to complex systems of care. Jean is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of California and is eager to build dynamic partnerships and deliver impactful trainings focused in West Los Angeles (SPA 5) as an Implementation Specialist with the DMH + UCLA Public Mental Health Partnership.
