About

Dr. Ivy Snyder received her PhD in clinical psychology with a health emphasis from Yeshiva University. She completed her internship at Northwell Health's Zucker Hillside Hospital in New York City, where she trained in perinatal mental health, adolescent inpatient mental health, and the outpatient LGBTQ Transgender program, among other settings. Her research focuses on supporting adolescent mental health and on improving accessibility to health care for chronic conditions. She previously worked in qualitative research in the tech industry space and in the medical device design space.

Dr. Snyder currently provides clinical support via UCLA's EMPWR Clinic to LGBTQ+ adolescents, young adults, and families, many of whom have significant and complex trauma histories. She also supports research and education support through UCLA's Prevention Center of Excellence across multiple projects. She is hoping to continue supporting LGBTQ+ adolescent and family mental health as a clinical specialty.
