Dr. Sara Hickmann is a clinical sport psychologist who has 20 years of professional experience working with high school, college, and professional athletes. She received her undergraduate degree from UCLA in psychology and her PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Dr. Hickmann served as the embedded team psychologist for the Los Angeles Kings hockey team and the LA Clippers basketball team, as well as for the New York Jets football team and the Brooklyn Nets basketball team. She has a private practice in San Diego called Blue Mind Psychological Services, which is dedicated to being in, on, or near the water as a way of enhancing mental health. Dr. Hickmann is currently working as a clinical psychologist for the Special Boat Team Operators in Coronado, California.
