Cindy Franco is a senior social worker with Public Counsel’s Immigrants’ Rights Project (IRP), where she works with unaccompanied youth by integrating social work into the legal services Public Counsel provides to empower clients to participate in and partner with their attorneys in legal matters. Before joining Public Counsel in 2020, she worked as a domestic violence advocate at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, where she provided direct services to individuals experiencing domestic violence. Cindy has presented at the National Latinx Social Work Conference and at local universities on her work for the integration of social workers in the legal setting. She is a graduate of the Boston College School of Social Work and holds a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Long Beach.
