Overview


The utilization of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for the treatment of psychosis is becoming more integrated into mental health care. This training will focus on the symptomatology associated with the experience of psychosis, interventions that emphasize the core practices of CBT, and also third-wave CBT techniques for those with severe and persistent mental illness.   • Describe how the CBTp intervention of cognitive restructuring can be utilized with clients experiencing psychosis
  • Identify 3 third wave CBT interventions to apply with clients experiencing psychosis from modalities, including acceptance and commitment therapy, compassion focused therapy, and mindfulness-based CBT
