Overview
Drawing from the latest research and intervention, this video addresses compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma in the COVID-19 era by introducing elements of positive psychology to help “rewire” the brain for happiness. Watch this video to understand the research regarding burnout and concepts from the study of neuroplasticity presenting a rationale for rewiring the brain for happiness. Additionally, evidence-based curriculum will be covered from: Martin Seligman’s positive emotions, engagement, relationships, meaning, and accomplishment (PERMA) model; Christine Neff’s self-compassion work; Angela Duckworth’s work on grit, resilience, and wellbeing; and other concepts of gratitude. Anytime session recorded on May 5 & 7, 2020.
