Overview

Did you know that, like all aspects of human development, people also develop sexually? Starting in infancy, sexual development is the process of changes in physical growth, sexual knowledge, and sexual beliefs youth come to learn and display through their behavior.

It is critical to talk to youth about sexual topics throughout development to minimize shame or judgment, and support them to become sexually healthy adults who understand their bodies, identities, and how to form healthy relationships. In this Stress, Trauma, and Resilience (STAR) Seminar, participants will learn tips and resources to help providers support families to talk about sexuality using sex-positive techniques.
