Overview

Collaborative teamwork is the cornerstone of effective service delivery and the capacity to meet the complex needs of individuals with severe mental illness who receive public mental health services (Tomizawa, Shigeta, & Reeves, 2017). Working well as a team can be challenging since mental health providers are often trained to focus on distinctions among professional fields. This training will identify strategies for developing a shared team mission and vision and a shared case-load approach to delivering services. We will review practices for team coordination and communication, and leading constructive team meetings. Anytime session recorded on October 25, 2023.

The Multi-Disciplinary Team: Foundational Infrastructure for FSP

This training will review provider role types and scopes needed to implement an evidence-informed FSP team configuration. Other structural features of the team needed to maximize effective service delivery, such as the proportion of staff in relation to clients served, will also be ...

Building a Positive Team Climate in FSP

A key factor in helping to ensure positive outcomes among individuals with severe mental illness served by intensive mental health programs such as Full Service Partnership (FSP) is effective team-based care. Mental health teams with a positive team climate have been shown to function effectively and successfully reduce burnout among staff, promote motivation to effectively respond to client needs, and achieve positive client outcomes.
