Self and Community Care Open Session 6
Overview
A self and community care open session for adults who support young people in Los Angeles County.
This self and community care open session is dedicated to all of the adults (educators, teaching artists, parents/caregivers, social workers, mental health professionals, healthcare and youth development workers, advocates, activists, and so many others) who dedicate their time, hearts, and energy to supporting young people in LA County. This is a space to take a break, explore creativity, connect to your joy and purpose, build community, support your own healing and wellbeing, and let off steam!
This open session is brought to you by a partnership between Wellbeing for LA and Creative Wellbeing, a strategic collaboration between the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture, Office of Child Protection, Department of Mental Health, and the Arts for Healing and Justice Network, as part of the LA County Arts Education Collective to advance the goals of Arts for All Children, Youth, and Families: Los Angeles County’s New Regional Blueprint for Arts Education.
This session was led by teaching artist Natasha Mercado from the Unusual Suspects Theatre Company.
