Overview

A key factor in helping to ensure positive outcomes among individuals with severe mental illness served by intensive mental health programs such as Full Service Partnership (FSP) is effective team-based care. Mental health teams with a positive team climate have been shown to function effectively and successfully reduce burnout among staff, promote motivation to effectively respond to client needs, and achieve positive client outcomes. This training will focus on evidence-based tools for assessing team climate to help participants gauge areas of strength and areas for growth in developing a positive culture and climate on the team. Further, the training will review strategies for enhancing various dimensions of team climate such as psychological safety, task orientation, accountability among team members for achieving targeted work outcomes, and support for innovative practices and problem-solving on mental health teams. This training is intended for field-based mental health and outreach workers in Los Angeles County. Anytime session recorded on May 1, 2024.
