Overview


ThisĀ trainingĀ is designed for practitioners that have a fundamental understanding of trauma and substance use, and are seeking to develop deeper perspectives into decolonized and collaborative community approaches. Using real-life case studies, we explore generational trauma, systemic harms contributing to hesitation when getting or lacking access to support, the importance of community care, and knowledge of the intersections of trauma and addiction. This training is intended for field-based mental health and outreach workers in Los Angeles County. Anytime session recorded on April 24, 2025.
