Overview

Creative expression can serve as a powerful tool for emotional awareness. And the process of art-making can provide a key to understanding our internal world — our emotions, memories, values, and beliefs. In this hands-on session, we’ll learn SketchPoetic®, an intuitive sketching practice that utilizes simple mark-making and embodied noticing to access creativity and our inner landscape in a way that may be difficult to articulate through words alone. This novel creative-arts practice helps regulate the nervous system, increases emotional awareness, and fosters greater self-compassion and insight.

This session is open to all, and no artistic experience is necessary. The practice emphasizes curiosity, presence, and personal exploration rather than artistic skill — and we’ll come away with a new, simple go-to creative tool to use for self-care and our work with others.
