Celebrating 30 years of serving alternative high schools, artworxLA inspires youth to stay in school, grow as unique individuals, and flourish as creative adults. We know that art works to combat the dropout rate, and our healing-informed and culturally responsive approach reconnects youth through the arts and provides a creative pathway to a future beyond high school graduation. Our “ladder” of progressive arts opportunities includes classroom workshops in over 30 schools, after-school arts and career skills courses, college prep scholarships, and internship and mentorship programs. artworxLA cultivates effective partnerships between artists, educators, cultural centers, and community organizations to address the limitations faced by under-resourced schools and to amplify our collective impact and the voices of over 1000 students we serve each year.
