About
Emily C. Dossett, MD, MTS, is a reproductive psychiatrist, founder, and director of the Reproductive Mental Health Program at the Los Angeles County+USC (LAC+USC) Medical Center, and a clinical associate professor of Psychiatry and of Obstetrics and Gynecology at USC’s Keck School of Medicine. She has over 15 years of experience working with pregnant and postpartum people facing a wide range of mental health challenges. She is passionate about research, advocacy, and teaching aimed at improving access to and the quality of perinatal behavioral health in the safety-net setting. Dr. Dossett firmly believes that all people have the right to have a child, the right not to have a child, and the right to raise a child in a safe and healthy environment, and her career is focused on supporting people with mental health challenges to realize these rights.
