Dr. Jessica Lasater holds a doctoral degree in clinical psychology, with a specialization in family and couples therapy. Her dissertation, titled "Middle Childhood and the Early Prevention of Substance Use Disorders," focused on the increase in substance use disorders among children aged 8 to 12 years. In her research, she emphasized the importance of an integrated, whole-person care approach that includes both the child and the family.

Currently, she is the clinical supervisor and psychologist at Tarzana Treatment Centers youth program where she co-supervises multiple programs, including those focused on substance use disorder, mental health, intern training, and grant-based initiatives. With over a decade of experience in the field, Dr. Lasater has honed her expertise in addiction, dual diagnosis, family therapy, and child development.
