About

Jon Rowe, originally from Long Beach, California, earned his BA in social sciences with an emphasis on secondary education from the University of California, Irvine. He left his beloved Southern California to try out the east coast, living in Philadelphia for five years before settling in New York City for a decade. In NYC, he joined the team at Community Access, a mental health and supportive housing non-profit. He began as a service coordinator in their scattered site transitional housing program, and later moved to their care coordination program, supporting individuals, youth, and families living with serious mental health concerns and chronic illnesses.

Over the past five years, Jon managed the development of a health and wellness pilot program, improving access to culturally relevant health and wellness programming for over 1,000 tenants and participants across over 20 of the agency’s supportive housing residences, ACT teams, PROS program, and other mental health teams. His efforts included developing a successful urban agriculture program, culminating in the opening of the agency’s first large-scale urban farm. Now back in Southern California, Jon is proud to be part of the PMHP team, where he continues to provide practical, culturally relevant training grounded in harm reduction, self-determination, anti-stigma, and housing-first principles.
