Hope, Recovery, and Wellbeing: Cultivating Spiritual Competency for Mental Health Providers

Overview
Emerging research suggests that the integration of religion/spirituality (R/S) into mental health treatment has the potential to improve client outcomes. This training surveys principles and strategies of spiritual competency and explores spiritually-integrated treatment models and assessment tools. We will reflect upon our own attitudes, beliefs, and practices to discuss how these world views may impact therapeutic encounters. Finally, we will examine ethical boundaries and concerns to ensure that effective, empathetic, and evidence-based R/S tailored treatments are being delivered to support clients self-identified R/S practices. Recorded on June 29, 2021.
Please note that CEs are only available by attending the live virtual training, not the anytime session.
