Overview


This advanced practice training will support clinical providers across Los Angeles County in enhancing their clinical skills working with youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The Advanced Practice IDD Training will take a deeper dive into core strategies such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) adaptions, enhancing communication, sensory diets, self-regulation strategies, and community asset mapping.

A prerequisite for this training is completing the live OR anytime virtual training: Trauma Informed Strategies for Working With Individuals With ID/DD/ASD for Clinical Staff.
