FOCUS for Families Training of Trainers
Overview
This training provides instruction on becoming a Families OverComing Under Stress (FOCUS) for Families trainer for your organization. The FOCUS for Families training of trainers is designed to support ongoing capacity building for the FOCUS model and equip participants with the tools to deliver the FOCUS for Families training using evidence-based teaching methods. Training in FOCUS for Families requires an understanding of the theoretical orientation of FOCUS, the core elements of FOCUS, the skill modules, fidelity to the model, and practical implementation techniques. This training combines didactics with interactive training methods that prepare trainers to deliver the FOCUS for Families. Coaching is also provided through online learning communities and virtual technical support. This training is intended for masters level clinicians and above.
