Overview


FOCUS (Families OverComing Under Stress) is an evidence-based model that teaches how to implement key skills to support youth and family resilience. FOCUS for Families consists of eight skill-building modules that help families apply resilience skills while managing the stressors related to their unique family challenges. This training is highly interactive and prepares clinicians to deliver FOCUS in a variety of settings. Participants are expected to actively participate in discussions and breakout room practice activities. This training is intended for masters level clinicians and above. Please only register for this training if you’re able to attend the whole training on both days.

FOCUS Resilience Curriculum for Early Education

This adaptation of the Families OverComing Under Stress (FOCUS) Resilience Curriculum is intended to be implemented as a group-based curriculum for children ages 3 to 8 years old. The FOCUS Resilience Curriculum for Early Education consists of 20 sessions and one review session, covering three FOCUS resilience skills: Emotion Regulation, Communication, and Goal Setting. This curriculum is designed to be implemented in a flexible manner while maintaining fidelity to the FOCUS model.
