Overview

More Than Sex-Ed is a Los Angeles-based nonprofit delivering comprehensive, fact-based, and affirming sex education to students grades K–12. Join this Stress, Trauma, and Resilience (STAR) Seminar to learn why sexuality education should happen early and often, and how families and communities can support healthy sexual development throughout childhood and adolescence. We’ll explore the importance of consent education for all ages and share tools for supporting survivors of sexual abuse and assault, as well as tips to ensure that your teaching or practice is LGBTQ+ inclusive and affirming. We’ll also unpack the challenging intersection of sexuality and values, and discuss tools for honoring different religious beliefs within sex education spaces.
