Overview


In this Stress, Trauma, and Resilience (STAR) Seminar, Dr. Borelli will provide an overview of relational savoring, a brief, strengths-based prevention and intervention approach that involves helping parents savor moments of close connection with their child. Dr. Borelli will describe how relational savoring can be used to enhance relationship outcomes in parents and families. The theoretical background underlying the relational savoring approach will be reviewed. A step-by-step review of the techniques used in relational savoring will be described. Dr. Borelli will summarize the empirical evidence for relational savoring. Dr. Borelli will conclude by sharing an example of a relational savoring session. This presentation will integrate research and clinical material.
