LGBTQ+ youth and their families remain resilient and strong despite an onslaught of harmful sociopolitical attacks from the federal government and state legislators. As the first part of a three-part training on LGBTQ+ youth and family care, this Stress, Trauma, and Resilience (STAR) Seminar will highlight key sources of resilience for LGBTQ+ youth in home, school, and community spaces. First, Dr. Ramos will explore gender and sexuality trends in today's youth. She will then explore the potential impacts of current social stressors on mental health. Lastly, she will lead a discussion on service providers' roles in supporting LGBTQ+ youth in today's climate.
