Certification for Crisis Oriented Recovery Services (CORS)
Overview
The Crisis Oriented Recovery Services (CORS) Certification is for mental health clinicians interested in providing an immediate, short-term intervention to individuals and families experiencing a psychosocial crisis. After you are certified in CORS, you will know how to deliver CORS to children, adults, and families and minimize the potential for long-term consequences of trauma or distress.
This pathway includes three main parts: Verifying that you are a licensed, registered, or waivered mental health clinician, completing the online CORS course, and attending all three Ask the Expert sessions with Dr. Vo-Jutabha (live or recorded).
Pathway Trail
Milestone #1: Confirm Eligibility and Consent to Sharing CORS Certification Status
Only licensed, registered, or waivered mental health clinicians are eligible for certification. Certification will be awarded after all requirements are met.
Milestone #2: Online Course
The CORS model, intended for use by mental health clinicians, is a short-term intervention for providing immediate crisis services for individuals and families, as well as address case management needs and assure linkage to ongoing services. Learn about ways to assist clients in resolving and/or coping with psychosocial crisis and promoting the development of coping strategies.
Milestone #3: Ask The Experts Sessions
Join virtual (or recorded) Ask the Expert trainings to continue your learning. You must attend (or view recordings of) all three trainings to complete this pathway.
