Overview

Full Service Partnership (FSP) Foundations is a learning pathway designed for a range of service providers (e.g., case managers, mental health clinicians, nurse practitioners, housing specialists, peer providers, and substance use specialists among others) providing client care in FSP programs. It is ideal for both new staff and seasoned mental health providers to support them in grounding their work in evidence-based practices and strengthening skills to work with clients with severe mental illness, including those with challenges related to substance use, housing instability, and frequent hospitalizations.

Although milestones are listed in a suggested sequence, they can be completed in any order. There is no time limit on completing this pathway and trainings are organized by seasons. There are opportunities to attend live trainings each season, as well as asynchronous learning options (called “anytime” trainings) to best fit your schedule. As you complete each training, please note that you will also need to complete the evaluation for each training in order to receive the certificate for FSP Foundations. For more questions or information about this pathway, please review our FAQ.

FSP Foundations is based on four pillars of knowledge and skill development, which inform the Public Mental Health Partnership (PMHP) training strategy. These include:

  1. Recovery-Oriented Care
  2. Trauma Informed Care
  3. Harm Reduction
  4. Systems-Oriented Care

This pathway provides a suggested guideline for engagement in trainings covering these core topics. It also provides a variety of special topic training opportunities that align with each of the four pillars.
