Teacher agency can be defined as the voluntary exercise of power in thought, choices, and actions. Exercising this power of choice can enable teachers to create more equitable spaces for students. This presentation will provide teachers with practical and straightforward steps that can be implemented in their classrooms to create safe, affirming, and empowering learning spaces for all students.
